Celtic Colours
Cape Breton is home to a unique celebration of music and culture, when Celtic Colours presents dozens of concerts, workshops, and community events across the island. See international performers join local artists in a festival that showcases the colourful nature of Cape Breton and its people. Celtic Colours will take place October 11-19, 2019
Louisbourg Crab Fest
Head to the 27th Annual Louisbourg Crab Fest taking place on Friday, August 2nd (7:30 pm-1:00 am) and on Saturday, August 3rd (12:00 noon-1:30 am) on the Louisbourg Waterfront! Enjoy live entertainment, children’s activities and of course plentiful Crab!
St. Peter’s Pirates Days
Travel 30 minutes west of the resort and find yourself in the quaint town of St. Peters. But if you visit during September 12-15, 2019 be sure to grab an eyepatch and hook and participate in the communities Pirate Days Festival.
Kitchen Fest
The island-wide traditional music festival is back for year 5 as Colaisde na Gàidhlig | the Gaelic College presents KitchenFest! Féis a’ Chidsin!, happening June 28 to July 6. The annual celebration of Cape Breton-based Gaelic music, gives locals and visitors alike up-close-and personal insight into this distinct and vibrant living culture, bringing the kitchen-ceilidh feel to the forefront.
