Bras d’Ors Scenic Trail
The Bras d’Ors Lakes Scenic Drive circle the shoreline roads that of several small farms and villages. Keep your eyes open for Bald Eagles, the region is well known as a nesting area for these magnificent creatures.
The Cabot Trail
Experience rugged coastlines, rolling mountains with vista views. There are many places to stop and take photos, swim, hike, eat and watch for many of Cape Breton’s plentiful wildlife creatures. The trail is approximately 185 miles taking you into the iconic Cape Breton highlands. You will pass through multiple small villages and towns all rich in their own unique culture and charm.
Discover the Marconi Trail, full of rugged costal scenery. The trail is named after Guglielmo Marconi who sent the first radio waves across the Atlantic Ocean to England. You can even check out a real coal mine by descending into the former Ocean Deep Colliery not part of the Coal Miner’s Museum.
Begin your journey at the Canso Causeway and end up in Louisbourg. On your journey you will pass quaint fishing villages and Point Michaud Beach where you can take surfing lessons.
